Wente Morning Fog Chardonnay 2015

Wente Family vineyards have a history stretching back to the end of the 1800s. C.H Wente was an immigrant from Germany, who settled down in the USA in 1883 chasing a better life for himself. Ha started studying winemaking under Charles Krug in Napa Valley. After he had finished his training, he settled down in Livermore Valley at the coast of California with his family to start his own wine production.

At the top of his career C.H Wente owned as much as 200 hectares of vineyards. Unfortunately this came to an abrupt end when the prohibition washed over the country. Wente was a man who knew how ho appreciate honesty and hard work, something he passed down to his children. After the prohibition two of his sons took over the company and started to produce wine.

Now 5 generations later, the business is still family owned. They have built a solid reputation in the business, and received several awards for their wines.
